You have the opportunity to own an original canvas print of an image of an 1800's Chicago Train.  This canvas print was produced from an original glass negative of one of the earliest trains from Chicago Illinois. Clearly marked "City of Chicago" Train #1. A little bit of research makes us believe that this is one of the trains from the 'elevated train systems'.  I believe this train engine is the first one of one of the two Train Railroads open in the 1890's. It's possible this one was received in 1890 or 1892.
Currently this is print #1 of only 1 that has been produced from the original glass negative.  I own this glass negative and would be happy to produce this image on larger canvas by request.  The glass negative has been scanned at a high resolution and printed on canvas and framed for your enjoyment.  This piece was produced in black and white but it can be custom made for you in other shades by request.
This negative came from the estate of a daughter of the original photographer that took this and other glass negative photos. It would be a wonderful image to reproduce and market.
I have not found a similar image of this particular train anywhere yet. Only similar trains.
**Please note that the image is crisp and clear but the photograph shows a flash reflection.
