78" x 43"  Handcrafted Multi Colored Antique Church Stained Glass Window CW Post Providence

Battle Creek Cereal Magnate

Marshall Michigan history

This stunning, one of a kind, stained glass window is handcrafted with a multitude of colors such as yellow/gold, green, purple, and blue. Perfect for anyone looking to add an amazing decorative piece to any room of the house. It stands 8 feet tall and 3 feet 7 inches long.  We believe that originally, it was a church window at one time and likely was made in honor of the name on it, Raymond Gue. This fantastic window has providence with the C.W Post family.  Here is what the current owner has said:

' This window came from A  Doctor who had  purchased it in Marshall Michigan at a large auction.  It is understood that another Gentlemen who stated  in the auction write up that it came from the C.W.Post collection.  That man had owned it  since the 1960s.   It is believed they came from the  sale of several Items that had been stored for several years. And had come from the remaining Items in a sale from the the Tavern . whom Mr Post had owned.  Many of his prized art pieces were from all over the world he was a large collector   As I understood it, the Tavern in Marshall had displayed it for many years. And it  was A real attraction where large meetings and ball's dances that were held .  We understand the Tavern was Tore down in Early 1960s.   '' This where the connections to the Comment by the 1st owner in the 1970s indicated where they had came from.  as I understand the first party had a fantastic huge home and many Antiques were sold. And where the  2nd gentlemen, the Doctor,  had purchased it n the early 1970s.  The one gentlemen to my understanding was old back in the 1970s when that sale was done and Has sinced passed away.   The Doctor moved out of the Area and I am not sure where he is now or if he is still living at this time.'

The most recent owner purchased it from the Dr and these folks have since passed and it is back up for sale.   A fantastic statement piece with that one of a kind look many love to add to their new home or renovation.  A conversation piece that will never get old.

Condition:  This piece is old.  Although we do not know the exact age, we believe it dates to the early 1900's.   As expected, with any stain glass, it has some cracks in a few areas, but  this piece is framed and ready for placement.  The window and frame are currently carefully mounted onto wood with a plywood backing for moving.   It was moved to our location carefully.  Purchase of this item means you need to arrange for pickup.  We can assist with moving within Michigan for an extra fee.   Feel free to contact us with any questions or concerns.

PLEASE NOTE:  Because it is encased in wood, it was difficult to show you what it looks like with the light behind it.   You'll have to trust us.  It's beautiful!
