Real Photo Muskegon MI Michigan 1937 Centennial Parade Postcard THIS CARD: Features Women dressed in authentic Dutch dresses and wooden shoes on an old Truck with a cage. A Cow stands to the front so I am guessing they are featuring Milking Cows.
This is ONE of 43 different postcards I am listing from this parade. I have decided to seperate the collection because I know how difficult it is for somebody to buy the entire lot. NONE of these cards are postmarked nor do they have any writing on them. Several have floats and other great views of the downtown in Muskegon.
Several show the photographers mark as "Beckquist's Inc." I will try and include numbers on each of those listings.
SOME of the interesting things in these photos includes: Old trucks, old cars, Floats, Businesses, Boats, Coast Guard, Old signs, Patriotic banners, Men and women in bathing suits, Brunswick Float, old Bicycles, Muskegon Oil company, An old tracktor pulling a float, Sinclair gas station, Union floats, Seagrams & Gin Advertising Sign, Lakos Cafe and Sears signs and stores in view, Muskegon Guards walking, a man log rolling in a contest, Ceremonial images with women dressed up and an announcer - I am guessing it's a Beauty contest, Dutch dressed women with a windmill.
